Sorry for the lapse in updates. It has been almost two months, so here goes...
Things are progressing without any pot holes thus far...
We are still in the thick of paperwork requirements, but in a whole new phase - THE DOSSIER! More to come on the Dossier later.
Since our last post, we have progressed with our application to US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). We had our Biometrics (digital fingerprints) appointment on December 10th at Syracuse's Immigration Office. What an interesting and somewhat disturbing experience that was!
Our application to USCIS is awaiting our homestudy approval. Once our approved home study reaches USCIS, we will receive what is called a Form I-171H, Notice of Favorable Determination Concerning Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition. That is a huge step!
